The latest Sewpony pattern has arrived and I really like it. Not a dress this time, but a lovely twin set called ‘JEUNE‘. It consists of a top with different options and a skirt with paperbagfinish and big pockets. The latter is always a big hit for toddlers!
The fabric from the skirt is one a had in my stack for some time. I bought it a Mondepot and it is from the Belgian clothingbrand Miss Chips. The fabric has such a nice feel and is just perfect for skirts and dresses.
The pattern is designed for woven fabrics, but I was feeling a bit rebellious and went for a knit fabric for the top 😉 . To do that, I have only cut the front and back one time and I added 2 cm seam to the bottom. So the shirt is not lined, but instead I folded the edges over and hemmed them with a special knit stitch on my machine. The knit is a coupon I bought a while ago at Georgette. I already made a shirt for my son out of it, and the quality is just devine! He has worn it so much, and it still looks like new.
If just like me, you are convinced of this lovely twin set, then head over to the Sewpony website. Untill May the 12th, you can use the 10% dicount code JEUNETOUR. The pattern is available in English AND in Dutch!
