The ladies from Petit a petit + Family did it again! They released a new pattern today called the Fridaydress… and boy do I love it! It’s a shirt dress with many different options. I had been looking for such a versatile pattern for a long time so when the testercall came, I didn’t hesitate for a minute.
The dress has been finished for over a month now, but finding time to take pictures wasn’t that easy. But the girl worked with me which is not that obvious for a 2-year-old.
The fabric I used is one from See you at six – a Belgian brand who has recently released 16 different designs in rayon quality. They are incredibly soft and have a nice drape. Perfect for this kind of dress. I bought them at De stoffenkamer.
For the sizes, I adjusted my patternpieces according to the table of measurements. Which meant I had to mix and match the pattern between size 18M/2Y and 3Y/4Y. Glad I did it, because the end results meant a perfect fit for my girl. I’m still a bit hesitant about the lenght… Can’t make up my mind if it’s the new cool hipster lenght or just a very boring length…
The explanations are very clear and are accompanied by many pictures to help you trough the different steps. I put a side zipper in for the first time and was quite amazed how easy it was.
You can buy the pattern at Upcraft Club. I can guarantee you, you won’t regret it! Thank you Célina, Emi and Ines for having me in your tester pannel!
